DJAW 2021 - Day 1
I wrote this only a few months ago but here’s a dozen more random reasons why I love Daisy:
- The unmitigated outrage that Miles betrayed their hacktivist principles for money.
- Her uncompromising anti-fascism.
- The sass. All the sass.
- The irrepressible instinct to charge into hell when innocents and friends are in danger.
- She could empathize with a rock.
- Her solution to get help for Elena in the Framework: programming a trail of red yo-yos for Radcliffe to follow.
- The way she went from cocky to vulnerable in 2 seconds flat when Quinn mentioned family.
- The way she hugs.
- The chaotic goodness of earnestly trying to protect Mike from the “scary men in dark suits” and then casually swiping his ID to further that goal.
- Letting Mack stay in the Framework despite how much it was killing her because it was his choice to make.
- The Renegade interrupts (😁): killing the Hydra goon with the Diviner, shooting Ward, yeeting Aida, etc.
- She’s a total BAMF who can find a way to hide a piece of glass under her skin while a creep is vivisecting her.
- “I’m stronger than you know”
- She’s watched Buffy, Chuck and Battlestar Galactica.
- Her eyerolls.
